"Heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight But
they, while their companions slept were toiling upwards in the night."
Wrote Sir H.W. Longfellow. A firm believer of these lines I believe education is
the sore essence of these thoughts. It teaches us to utilize the physical, and mental
abilities of an individual.
Children have some or the other latent quality in them. They are soft enough to
be moulded. Each child is potentially a light brigade. It is a teacher's job to
enthuse, ignite, incite, appreciate and also to an extent excavate the hidden potential
of his/her students.
Teachers must be able to imbibe in their students good values and habits, value
for hard work and sensitivity about the environment. Education is not partial but
complete development of a child.
Let all teaching fraternity remember that if we do not impart right education we
will pose a risk to our country's future.
So let us all be up and doing knowing perfectly well what Robert Frost had said
:
The woods are lovely, dark and deep But I have promises to keep And miles to
go before I sleep And miles to go before I sleep...
